Orthopaedics
Providing a minimum standard of orthopaedic care to all is the need of the hour. It was envisioned by Pristyn Care that the orthopaedic services need to be extended by a huge margin to improve the bone health of the people of the nation. Orthopedic is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system and the correction of deformities of bones or muscles. Major orthopaedic treatments at Pristyn Care will include surgical treatment for ACL Tear and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
An ACL Tear is a sprain or tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee.ACL Tears mostly happen with athletes when they land on the ground from a sudden jump or when they suddenly change the direction of movement.
The surgical treatment to torn an ACL is known as ACL Reconstruction. In this process, the surgeon removes the torn ligament and replaces the same with a piece of tendon from another part of the knee.
On the other hand, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a condition which is accompanied by tingling and numbness in the hand. In this condition, the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the palm of the hand gets pressed or squeezed at the wrist. Pristyn Care houses experienced orthopaedic surgeons who can release the carpal tunnel by cutting through the ligament that is pressing down the carpal tunnel.
Ophthalmology
India is the first country in the world to implement a blindness control programme.
